SURFACE BOLT INSTALLATION

1. Determine the bolt mounting location. Top or the bottom of the door.
2. Hold the bolt 1-2”-3/8” from the edge of the door when retracted. Place the bolt on the door with the guides in position and use a pencil to mark the hole locations.
3. Drill pilot holes in the locations marked in the previous step.
4. Secure the bolt to the door with the provided mounting hardware.
5. Hold the end guide in place at the top of the door frame or on the floor and mark the hole locations.
6. Drill pilot holes in the locations marked in the previous step.
7. Secure the end guide to the floor or door frame with the provided mounting hardware.
